It won't bring back any lives, of course, but it's heart-warming (at least to me) to know that perhaps the death toll was one count lower than it would have been if the phone wasn't there.
It's a silly thing to discuss really - the phone could have been literally any object, but it's still a feel-good story during this otherwise horrific time.
